Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Pumpkin pie is a popular dessert this time of year. Making a smoothie is a healthful way to enjoy the taste of pumpkin pie without all the extra refined sugar and calories. In a season of holidays where treats and desserts seem to be everywhere, this is a nice option to satisfy your sweet tooth. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup almond milk

1/2 cup plain yogurt, dairy or nondairy 

1/2 cup canned pumpkin

1 banana, sliced and frozen

1 tsp honey

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Handful of ice

Directions:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend well until smooth.
  3. Serves two.
